How do I download files from the site?
To download a file from the site, first go to the file you want to download. When you are viewing the details of a file, there is a link under the details titled "Download ..." where the ... is replaced by the category of the file you wish to download.

How do I know what game the file I want is supported by?
All skin files, texture files (.wad files), and decal files (sprays) on this site are only supported by Counter-Strike 1.6. However, we do have navigation files (.nav) for Counter-Strike Source only and maps for both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source. To denote which game a map is supported by, you can check under the title on the map search page or you can read the "Game:" line while viewing the details of a specific map.

I searched for a file that I was looking for but it said "No Results". What is wrong?
If you perform a search using the search bar on the right-hand side of the site and it returns no results, it means that you either typed your keywords in wrong or we do not have the file. Please verify that you spelled your query properly and try again.

How do I get rid of the blue background around my decal/spray?
The blue background around your spray will appear transparent in-game. However, if you wish to change the color, simply right click the image and choose "Save As" and then load the image into an image editor and change the background color. Once you have completed this, follow the instructions on the Half-Life Color Decals tutorial to compile your spray for Counter-Strike 1.6.

Videos will not play for me. Why?
The most common—and frankly only—reason for this is the file format. The videos hosted on this server are primarily .wmv files, only playable on computers running a copy of Windows 95/98 or later with Windows Media Player installed (standard). If you are attempting to view the video in any Linux distribution or on a Macintosh Apple computer, you will most likely not be able to view the videos. We do have plans to include more universal video formats in the future, but are currently unable to due so to disk space restrictions.
